OUR STORY

Seward Brewing Company was founded in 2014 by Erik Slater and Hillary Bean. With over 40 years of combined experience in the food and beverage industry, these two have brought their passion for great beer, delicious food and outstanding service to the residents and visitors of Seward. As a chef in Alaska since 1996, Erik has honed his skills across the state and brought his expertise to Seward in 2000. Hillary, who moved to Seward in 1996, has been an instrumental figure in the local bar scene, managing a busy harbor bar for 18 years before joining forces with Erik to open Seward Brewing Company. Now with their daughter Rowan, they raise the bar, set trends and blaze trails about what a family owned brewpub can be.
